- Contacts You Add: Names, emails, and phone numbers of people you add to your private invite groups.
- Usage Analytics: Pages visited and basic activity data used to improve the app experience.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and profile.
- To host events, send invitations, and coordinate RSVPs.
- To deliver messages between you and other players you connect with.
- To send transactional emails and SMS invitations you initiate.
- To process payments for optional support contributions (via Stripe).

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the app:
- With Other Users: Your display name, profile picture, and any host details you publish are visible to other users (unless you mark your profile as hidden). Messages are visible only to their intended recipients.
- Service Providers: We use trusted services to operate the app, including Base44 (hosting and database), Resend (email delivery), and Stripe (payment processing). These providers process data only on our behalf.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users or the public.
4. Data Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored encrypted at rest by our hosting provider. While no system can be guaranteed 100% secure, we use industry-standard measures to protect your information.
5. Your Choices & Rights
- Access & Update: You can view and update your profile information at any time from your Profile page.
- Hide Your Profile: You can hide your profile from player searches in your profile settings.
- Delete Your Account: You can request account deletion from your profile settings or by contacting us. Some information may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
- Notifications: You can disable message notifications from your profile.
6. Children's Privacy
Host Mahjong is intended for users 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated through the app.
